Roger Withnell, founder of UBE
Before founding UBE, Roger was with IBM in engineering and sales, culminating in a senior management position, during which he also became highly adept in programming. Roger brings expertise in databases which is the fundamental skill required in building effective and efficient dynamic websites. His senior management experience at IBM gives UBE high level strategic planning and core business management skills. Roger founded UBE as a direct result of his work as a parish councillor, creating an online presence for his parish and then making the tools he had designed for his local community available to other communities and organisations. Roger is based in Herefordshire.

Lesley Fairbairn, website building and training
Lesley has a passion for communication, the two-way transmission of information, and, with a Pure Mathematics and Computer Science degree from London University and training in website design, she has both a technical understanding and an overview of communication methodology, to help understand customers’ needs. Lesley is based in Sussex.

Andrea Bremner, Account manager
Andrea
is an ex-international gymnast with a masters degree in exercise
physiology and sport psychology. She comes with 10 years of marketing
and sales experience and more recently coaches others with her neuro
linguistic programming skills. In her spare time she is a wife and
mother of two! |

Iain Burns, Account manager
Iain has a wide ranging background in advanced technology, design and IT. Starting life as a Nuclear design Engineer he then went into the IT industry for 30 Years and held technical, sales, client management, product, marketing, services and design roles at UK, Europe and Global levels in IBM. He has always had a passion for innovation, design and programming as well working with clients to get the most out of products and solutions. Iain enjoys inventing and developing new products and long distance sailing and lives in South London.

Roger Malvern, Account manager
Roger
has had many years’ experience in the provision of IT solutions to
companies large and small. He has worked in Sales and Marketing for IBM,
Siemens and Lucent Technologies across Europe. He is aware that client
support extends well beyond the sales process, and would expect to build
a lasting relationship with each of his clients. |

Simon Rees, Account manager
Simon is a long term services professional. His career has spanned blue chip companies and voluntary work in the Charities sector. After long experience with IT projects he holds a deep conviction that all solutions must provide a good business return, or why else are we doing it? His consultancy experience has shown that good, long-term relationships are best for both the client and the provider and he will work with the clients to examine how best to imbed any technical solution within their business framework.

Gerry Russell, Account manager
Gerry has had a long career in business, including many years working internationally. His experience covers many aspects of business management including marketing, training, project management, recruitment, business and channel operations, internal auditing and assurance and process design. He has a Ph.D. in Physics and diplomas in management, marketing and internal auditing.

Highly experienced sales and marketing executive working in manufacturing, finance, utilities and CPG plus in depth knowledge of UK Public Sector. European and Global responsibilities involving C level executives and overall business strategy. In-depth relationship building, strategic selling and management skills. Proven ability to lead a diverse team with vision and inspiration.

George Wingfield, Account manager
Computer-supported communication is George’s specialist interest. He worked for IBM UK for more than 20 years in various areas that included systems engineering, programming, sales, and computer education. He has travelled extensively in Europe and the US where he and his American wife live for much of the year. He has been an author and a tour group leader in the UK in recent years.

Julian is a graphic designer with many years experience working with environmental, health education and arts organisations.

Tony Payne, Graphic designer
Tony was a studio artist for Hallmark UK before becoming freelance, and has been a graphic designer for over 25 years, taking inspiration in the early years from his home on the Isle of Bute, off the west coast of Scotland, and from the Dordogne in the South-West of France where he now lives with his wife in an old farmhouse. Tony has been working with UBE for a number of years. Other strings to his bow include being a paper engineer, writer and illustrator.
